Thank you for your reply. I just needed to know if it was worth the effort to use this site during p90x, and you answered my question. I'll give it a try!

Talking P90x

Brandie:

I am in week 11 of P90X - just 2 more weeks to go. I love P90X and think it is a great workout routine and have had great results. I've lost 9 pounds and lost inches everywhere while increasing strength and muscle tone (particularly the abs). Your diet is very important, after the second week I got serious about the diet and it made a big difference. I feel better and have more energy then pre P90X. I think the calories for women are a little on the high side and I found it difficult to eat all of the calories while I was eating clean - protein shakes and protein bars saved me. That being said I ate clean about 90% of the time. The other piece of advice for you is not to get discouraged if you don't see results right away or if the scale initially goes up. On this program women tend to see the most visible results in the 60 to 70 day mark - that was true for me.

Am I happy with the results - YES. Or to put it another way I'm 48 years old and just bought my first bikini. P90X gave me the body and the confidence to wear it. I'll probably start another round after I complete this one.

Good luck and keep pushing play,

Tricia

Definitely do the eating plan with it. I did P90x "lean" version but did not follow the diet and did not lose any weight; although, I did get stronger and in better shape. I did not count my calories during this and obviously ate more than i should have. I have 10lbs to lose and plan on doing it again to lose the final 5. I'm assuming I will need this kickstart to lose the last 5. Good luck and let us know how it's going!

I just started p90x! Tomorrow is my 4th day and I love it. I've been using fitday for my calories and it makes things so much easier, but I feel that their eating plan has me eating too much. It's hard to get it all in. Anyone else having this problem?

Default Question for Tricia423 on P90X nutrition

Tricia, I am 47 yrs old, just finished my 3rd week of P90X. It has been grueling but invigorating. I am having trouble with calorie count and found fitday and your post, hoping you can help. I see shows like Biggest Loser where they are working out very hard 4-6 hours a day, eating 1200 calories. P90X wants me to eat 1800 calories with one hour of work out a day. I have been managing 1500 but have lost only one pound in three weeks. Needless to say, I'm a bit discouraged. Are you eating all the calories? I have 50 lbs to lose so it isn't like I'm at my last 5 lbs or anything. Have you tried the recovery drink they hype or the shakeology? Any guidance would be appreciated. Anyone else with advice also, it would be appreciated.

I am using the P90X Classic program after trying the P90X Lean. The classic brings a more intense cardio aspect in addition to muscle work whereas the Lean was primarily cardio. And yes you should defintely use this site to keep track of your calories and just as important your carb/protein/fat ratio intake which is very important.

Take a look around at my website and browse all of the program and supplement products that Beachbody has to offer.

Go to http://www.beachbodycoach.com/TXGUY35 or http://beachbodycoach.com/txguy35

Good luck and if you have any questions or need that extra motivation boost don't hesistate to email me.

I have lost 40 lbs and 6% body fat since I began my transformation. I still have a little ways to go but keep pushing through.

I am using the P90X Classic program after trying the P90X Lean. The classic brings a more intense cardio aspect in addition to muscle work whereas the Lean program is primarily cardio and a little less intense. The key is to push yourself but not past your limits.

And yes the program does have a 30-day RISK FREE poilcy. Keep in mind you won't see real results for the first 2 weeks and up to 30 days but most of that factors into your diet. Just with any diet or exercise program if the food you eat is crap then no diet will be successful. The P90X program does help with the diet part of your weight loss in addition to the exercise part of it. I highly recommend at least giving it a try.

Default Re: Similar Situation

So I am in a similar boat. I am 37, I was 204 back on 1 March 2010 when I started P90X Classic. It is now May 6th 2010 and I am down to 186. I have also lowered my blood pressure on my Blood Pressure Meds from 130/80 to 114/64 without my meds. I was able to get off of my meds after almost 4yrs of being on them thanks to P90X. I did not take any photos in the begining because I thought this would not work and I would probably quit by week 3. I was wrong. You seem to be doing great on it. I have a question, I have been stuck at 186/187 for about three weeks now. I have not lost a single lb. and I am still working out every day on the P90X plan and I only consume about 1200-1500 cals. a day. Mostly, Vegies and fruit. What diet are you on? Did you hit a weight loss wall at any point? How did you break through it? My goal is 170 and I am getting frustrated because I am not seeing the weight loss like I was in the early stages of P90. Any suggestions?
