All diets work - except the 'eat more calories than you burn' diet. I'd pass on that one.

Default Belly fat

That is where I need to lose weight. Ever since I came upon a particular
age I have had trouble in the mid-section. On top of that which is also
new I have enjoyed sweet things far more often than I have ever in my
younger days. I have been trying something out but I will wait until I see
some results...

I do a diet similar to atkins but with different macro levels. Its the ketogenic diet. 65% fat 30% protein and 5% carb. It wasnt too much of a leap for me since i was already doing low carb. What was hard was trying to eat all that fat. Some people use it in an atkins similar fashion, but with heart disease in my family i tend to eat healthier fats. Whole egg omelets are my biggest sin. I eat avocados and nuts for my fats and stick to chicken, tuna or lean beef for my protein. Caloric limitations still apply but youd be amazed how full you can feel on this diet. But i feel more satisfied and still get great results in the gym. Its a long scientific process but basically it forces your body to use fat as its source of fuel instead of carbs. You can check it out on the bodybuilding.com forums under Nutrition.

I'm new to fitday and am trying to keep track of my daily fat percentage as well as protein and carbs. I see the percentage breakdown of carbs and protein but there doesn't seem to be a fat% listed. Is there somewhere else I should be looking? Thank you.

Are you looking at the pie chart? Where are you looking? Where are you seeing just protein and carb?

Default atkins

I am new to Atkins, haven't cheated, kept my fat at 60-65%, protein to 30% and my net carbs at 20 or less. Don't drink coffee, and only 1 packet of sweetner....I've gained 2#! Would love some feedback. Anyone else have this experience?

I've gained weight on Atkins and lost weight on Atkins. If you are logging your food, look at the calories. If it is not the calories, could it be water weight? The Atkins website has some suggestions. In particular, look at the calories.
