You're a year older than one of my sons (who happened to do his last year of university at University of Durham). He just lost the 10 pounds he wanted to (the pounds do creep on when you have a desk job and are less active). He kept track of calories and did a whole lot of push-ups.
I've been keeping track of calories and trying to get more exercise. Some days I bring up an episode of "Secret Eaters" or "Supersize vs Superskinny" on youtube and exercise while watching - very motivating and I've learned a few things.
