Thanks Kim. I only started running at 46! And only because my younger sister talked me into going to a Learn to run5k program with her. I also never owned a bike. I used my son's mountain bike at the first triathlon and then bought a second hand hybrid last year.

I am pretty slow. And you know what, I don't care. I am there for me. Not to win any prizes. I think that the fitness benefits are incredible and that's what matters. I will try to beat my own time this year. That's it. Even if it's a minute.

You signed up for a half marathon and you can do it. You train for it and you do it. Even if you have to walk part way. Who cares. It is an incredible accomplishment and you will not regret it not at all. I have done a couple 5k runs. But never any type of marathon. that inspires me
