Default Recording Carbs from Labels

Everyone,
I have read a few of the threads and searched the internet a bit and am still a bit confused.
On most my labels I see something like the below e.g.:
Carbohydrate Total (g) 20
- Sugars (g) 8

So when I would enter the food into fitday do I enter the 20g or 12g (and leave the sugar out) ?

Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Cheers,
Mike

the total carbs includes the sugars on the label- it's just their to show you how many of the carbs are from sugar. So entering carbs in fitday, you put the total carb count, which would be the 20g from your example.
