Unhappy gained weight when dieting??

I have started dieting this week, and have cut down my calorie intake by a lot. I have also been going to the gym every night. Today is day 4 of this diet and I have gained weight. I am easily distracked off of diets when it's not going anywhere. This time I am hope to stick to it.

Does anyone have any advice for staying on track even when it all seem like it's not working?? Please help
