I usually do it a little differently. I usually make dinner for myself, my husband and my two kids. We divide it into five (four of us and lunch for my husband for the next day).
I put each ingredient into fitday independantly and then divide the quantity by five. A simple egg scramble starts as:
8 eggs
2 cups hashbrowns
1 green pepper
1 onion
1 cup 2% milk
Becomes:
1.6 eggs
0.4 cups hash browns
0.2 green pepper
0.2 onion
0.2 cups 2% milk
If it is something I will be having frequently, I will put all these values into a new day in fitday and then use the total values to create a custom food. (I then remove them from that day, of course.)
