New Here!
Hi Everyone! My name is Erica and I just joined today. I have always been super active and love to exercise but have been on crutches and will remain on them for about 3 more weeks due to hip surgery. Although I am concerned about healing well, I am TERRIFIED to gain weight! Hence why I am here tracking my foods, etc. Anyone else have this probelm before? Good luck to all!

Hi Erica! Welcome to FitDay...enjoy getting to know the tools and the information they provide. I hope you heal quickly and completely.
I can't say I've had surgery, but I've definitely felt the panic of being injured and unable to keep up with my normal routine. Just take one day at a time, don't do anything drastic, and be smart in your choices. You'll be back to it in no time.

Yup, me too! Injuries are probably more of a mental problem for me than a physical one 
. You are very wise to keep track of your calories at this point. The data will really help you make smart choices as you recover and get back to your old self.
Let us know if you have any questions. Maybe the exercise section would be a great place to start a discussion on recovery - most of us have had similar experiences.
