Actually it gives more accurate data. Most people using fitday rarely eat nothing at all for a day. Showing trends is what graphs are for, and the new charts don't give you a trend, they provide less accurate information. The assumption that you ate 4500 calories on the day between a recorded 4000 and a recorded 5000 is more logical than instantly assuming you put absolutely no food in your mouth that day.

That's just like... your opinion, man. My opinion is I see fitday as simply a way to record and analyze data to achieve my personal goals. Everybody here has different goals (though sometimes very very similar, but never exactly the same), and fitday is simply about providing information so you have a decent picture to work with to help you understand what you must do to get to your goal.

But people didn't eat 0 calories on those days either (usually). It looks silly and provides innacurate information. If people don't want to enter the data every day thats their choice, and so is entering the info daily. I don't think it will have a huge impact on the responsibility of some to have a graph that shows a more accurate trend of their eating habits

I could totally be wrong about this but the effort required to modify the way the chart is displayed would probably not be a massive project.
