Absolutely correct..But it doesn't mean that if there is lack of water in your body then you can not function well. Human being can live 2 to 3 days without a water because when there is no water in a body then the body glucose will automatically converted into a water. And hence man can live for 2 to 3 days without water. I may be wrong somewhere.
