Help?
Hello everyone.
I am definitely about to give up. This is horrible, I do EVERYTHING I'm supposed to: I exercise, I drink only water (at least 8 glasses a day), I eat around 1400 kcal a day, maintaining the 40-30-30 percentage (according to Fitday and other calculators, I burn around 2100 kcal a day). I stay clear from processed foods, junk, greasy food, bad carbs and so on. One day I might find I've lost 300 grams, the next one I do the exact same thing and I gain 400.
Now, I know weight is supposed to fluctuate a lot, but in a two month period, for instance, the final result should be positive, and it's not. The weird thing is that if one day I binge and have some pizza or whatever, it really doesn't make me gain anymore than if I eat healthy.
Do you guys have any advice?

Have you read through our tips already?

My advice is STOP with the binges/cheating and EAT CLEAN every day. And WATCH YOUR SODIUM. Sodium is a major player in retaining water and therefore throwing off scale readings.

Oh, and if you want more personal advice it's up to you to make your Fitness Journal public. Right now it's private, I checked. Because without more information, everybody would just be guessing and you can't receive the personal kind of help that you're seeking.
Click on the "Profile" tab, then "Public Settings Page" under the "Public Journal" section in order to make your Journal public.

I definitely agree on the sodium. It was a big factor in my being stuck on a weight. I'm sorry, I don't remember if you have posted this before but what is your current height and weight? If you don't have a lot to lose sometimes it's harder to get started. Are you weighing & measuring your foods or guestimating? Ummm what else? What kind of exercise are you doing?

Well, I guess I'm going through a plateau, because I'm not new at this, I already lost 10 kgs, but I'm just stuck. I have been going through the posts mentioned above (thank you!) and I will try to up my protein intake and change my exercise routine, see if that works. Also, thank you for mentioning the sodium, I admit I've never really paid much attention to it!

If you've never track sodium before, you'll be SHOCKED at how much you're probably getting. It's a real killer, diet wise and health wise, so I'm glad you've decided to custom track it (Food Journal>"Custom Nutrition Goals" tab>"Setup your Nutrient Goals" below that)
Best wishes.

What ever you do don't give up. I understand the frustration. I too haven't seen a big difference from month to month weight wise. I too have days where my weight will be moving in the right direction and then the very next day see a 5 pound gain. Yes, it is really hard not to give up, becuase like you said, I didn't eat anything different then any of the other days when the scale showed a weight lose. I've been told ones body does this because it thinks it starving, when it's really not. Think of it as your inner child rebelling because it's not getting it's way. We are taking back controll of our "fat" cells. We are making the child grow up and be healthy. On days when I feel down after weighing, I remind myself that tomorrow will be better. It hasn't failed me yet.
