Talking First week success!!

I started FitDay last Sunday very skeptical of how I would do, weight loss wise, logging my food and activities. Well, I'm now a believer!! With nothing other than cutting most of the junk of my diet, eating fresher foods and drinking a TON OF WATER I'm down 10 lbs! I realize that I"m not going to have such huge numbers every week, but WOW!!

10 pounds gone, 90 more to go!

Tori
Starting weight 255lbs-November 6, 2011
Current weight 244lbs-November 13, 2011

Thanks! For the first time ever I am really determined and focused. It helps that I work with a man who is a personal trainer on the side, so he's been schooling me in what to eat, percentages of carbs, proteins, and fats, and just general nutrition. I start Zumba tomorrow, so hopefully I won't embarrass myself too badly. If anything, the girls I'm going to do it with and I will probably laugh so much that we'll burn the calories that way!!

Hi Tori,
Way to go girl, you sound very motivated.

About the Zumba: I say if it ain't fun you ain't going to stick with it. So have a blast, laugh, learn the moves, and laugh some more

Wow, congrats Tori. That is a great start. Keep pushing and you'll be chiping away at the other 90.

ohhhh I'm sure there will be plenty of laughter. There isn't one in our group who has any rhythm, so it will definitely be fun AND funny. I'm not so sure that we'll actually learn the moves, but as long as we're moving.....

Awesome job! I love your motivational quote--made me smile. I had someone tell me only two days ago that I needed not to worry about looking silly at the gym because no one cares about what I am doing there. I was invited to body pump and have yet to make it. So, way to go and have fun! I hear Zumba is addictive.

Awesome job, congratulations on the 10lbs. You can do it, you're off to a really great start anyway.

I used to worry about getting laughed at too, because my gym is full of high school athletes, but seriously nobody has ever said anything negative to me. Not once in 10 years. So no more excuses, get your butt to body pump, and pick up a Zumba class in the process.

I do P90 at home and run on the treadmill at the small gym in our complex, so, I am not sure what my hesitation is about going to the gym. I do plan on making it this week to check it out.
