Default It Feels So Good to Be In Control -- Why do we Stop?

I was packing my salad this morning and thought how good it felt to be eating healthy, planning my meals and feel in control. When it feels this good to eat right why do we slip back into all the bad habits?

I think I do it b/c I get board with maintaining. So I go a while and eat whatever I want, gain my weight so I can turn around and lose it. That and I just my junk food too much.

Great question!

For me in the past, I've given up because I had no "control". I didn't know what I was doing because I've never tracked calories before. So after losing the weight, I went back to my old habits along with letting the exercise slide.

This is unchartered waters for me. I do agree that it's a great feeling to be in control by tracking and sticking with it.

Will I muster the determination to continue? Time will tell but right now all I can say is that I'm actually scared to return to the pig that I was before. I looked like a pig and felt like pig. I'm surprised I didn't eat myself into a heart attack.

I'm sorry Mike. I'm just rough on myself, didn't want to make anyone else question themselves.

I'm about a little over 5'6". So I just finally got into a healthy BMI last week. Clearly I was about 30 pounds over when all along I thought it was just about 20.

I was sluggish, eating salty foods, eating fatty and high cholesterol foods along with lots of sugar. Like I said, I'm surprised I didn't get a heart attack. FitDay has changed my life. I haven't felt this good in years.
