Wow, I've never gotten near a half marathon so getting started for you should be no problem. I agree with the poster about starting with the C25K program, I think it has a lot going for it. I've also started keeping a fitness journal and excercise log for the past two years. Its just a little notebook that I carry around with me to make sure I look like a geek at the gym but it keeps me going. If I have more than a day or two with no workout entered I don't like it.
