Calories Burned Data Given Wrong
Hello,
I just started today using the FitDay software and input all of my information and verified it is correct. I just don't see how it is saying I burned 4,252 calories in a day, I'm very sedentary. I did do the treadmill and input that information. Am I missing some sort of calculation?
Thanks for any help!

I've used fitday on and off for quiet some time and never really paid much attention to the calories burned info. until now. Am looking to keep track of things for my husband who just recently found out that he is borderline diabetic and am wanting to know where the amount for "estimated calories burned" come from with regard to weight and calorie restriction. I have not entered any activty for my husband.

I've been using FitDay since July 14, 2010 (it had been on my computer for over 1 1/2 years). For Christmas I recieved a BodyMedia Fit and was very impressed with how accurate FitDays "calories burned" was. On the day I compared FitDay showed 200 calories less (approximately 9%) than what I actually burned. Not sure what your weight is but the more you weigh, the more calories you burn. The majority of your daily calorie burns comes from maintaining your bodily functions.

you are correct, that's why it only shows 9hrs left for Lifestyle and shows her burning 3432 calories for a 2.5 mile walk.
