Check your calories on the almonds...1 oz. is 160 calories and that is 22-24 nuts, way less than a cup (unless you are talking about a cup with the almonds still in the shell).
According to FitDay, 1 cup of almonds (no shells) is over 800 calories.
And now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good.
