I'm assuming you have not been working out at all. Start a walking program. I like 3's. Walk on a tread mill, at the mall or around the block. Walk at a faster pace then usual for 3 minutes every day. Add 3 minutes every 3rd day. This gets you used to exercising without making you so sore you have to quit. Once you get to 45-60 minutes and it's not a problem you can look for another program or ways to vary what you are doing. Good luck getting started.

My wife and I put in some aerobic tapes in the vcr at home and after 30 min we are both sweating from the workout. You can find them anywhere from beginner to advanced workout in any store cheap..we found 6 tapes at the salvation army for a quarter a tape.
Gives you a good workout and you can work at your own pace in case you cant keep up with them or pause it if you need a breather.

good luck

Hi missbrittany,
Have you looked into Stroller Strides? Stroller Strides - Prenatal exercises for mom, postnatal exercises for mom
A friend of mine joined (until her babe was no longer in a stroller) and she loved it. Loved the company, the workouts were really challenging, and it was fun to do stuff with here daughter.
Obviously, I don't know whether there is a group in your area, but they tend to form kind-of spontaneously.

Good luck getting back to the old bod!

I just bought the Biggest Loser DVD called The Last Chance Workout with Jillian. It is organized very well (daily schedule) and has an overall workout and then upper and lower body toning - for only $10 at Walmart. The plan has 3 levels for 2 weeks each and only requires about 35 minutes daily. So far I love it - week 1 almost complete.
