I've been there. I used to ride on rollers in the winter. I don't know what was worse, the 99% of the time I was bored or the 1% of panic after I would space out and start to ride off the side of the rollers I had to switch to a fixed trainer. I couldn't be trusted on rollers.

I am at a club right now that has a tv attached to the treadmill. But I have been on cycles/treadmills and eventually I have to close my eyes and use my imagination. Saftey is essential so I always make sure I am secure before doing this.
If I had equipment at home I would try to read a book or hang a nature poster somewhere.
I get bored very easily so, using music or visualization is helpful.

Actually, I prop my PC up in front of me and either watch a DVD or something on Hulu. I have several Spinerval DVD's. These are basically spinning classes for home trainers. I just did 50 minutes and 14 miles but I feel like I have been beat up.
