GameGal - Thanks for sharing your experience. How are you doing now?

yehudit - I haven't had my thyroid checked. My dad's on thyroid medication...I wonder if it's hereditary...

Back in college when I was skinny, gave too much blood and was practically clear I had to double up on my iron pills to keep myself from shivering and looking like death might creep up on me at any time. (a little exaggerated, but you get the point)

Wow. I'm impressed by your thoughtful, comprehensive answer. Are you in the medical profession? This is why I wanted to try a site like this, in hopes that I would find a compassionate, intelligent group to support and motivate me. I'm feeling good about this already.
