See The South Beach Diet Review for a good overview. Mainly it is cutting out "bad" carbs (high sugar), emphasizing good fats and eating throughout the day to promote a full feeling, no insulin spikes and mindless eating binges. It keeps you full, and is actually more of a life style change than a diet.
