(guessed on your age). To lose 1-2 lbs per week, you should eat approximately 1,240 calories per day. That's far from 0 if you ask me!
I started out very close to your stats...5'2" and 162 lbs. I eat around 1,200 calories per day, exercise 6-7 days per week, and after about 2.5 months, I'm down to 137 lbs! If I can do it, anyone can! =)
Keep your chin up. Focus on getting around 1,200 calories worth of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein, kick up your exercise, and you WILL see results!!!
