Such a great idea for the days i feel like hiding away cos im overweight. Other things to be thankful for in my life are:
1. My children being healthy.
2. The family saying "mmm, this dinner tastes yummy."
3. My fiancee telling me im beautiful everyday.
4. Sitting in a beer garden sipping delicious cocktails.
5. Being in a warm house all cosy in pjs when the rain is pouring outside.
6. The kids giving me a picture and saying i love you.

Julia...have a great time...GO SOX!!!
I am thankful this Mother's Day for my amazing son. I waited a long time for him, was surprised by him, and can't imagine not having him.
For a long time I was devastated that the way things worked out, I only had one child. But really, when I look at it, I have the best of all possible worlds...a bright, responsible, musical, athletic son whom I don't even have the words to describe...all you moms know how that is .
I'm also thankful for my mom. For the things she did that made me want to do things the exact same way, and for the things I wanted to do differently that made me blaze my own trail.

I have NOT felt like focusing on my blessings for a few days (a little post-"vacation" letdown)...which means I need to...
I am grateful for:
my four children--they have all blossomed into productive, caring young adults (and my 16-year-old daughter is not far behind!)
my husband both as my soul mate and as my bestest friend!
some really awesome work associates
my dog...who thinks I'm the greatest
remaining reachable and teachable
having the physical stamina to exercise and participate in life
having a frig full of veggies which I intend to grill tomorrow!

I'm grateful that my advisor had time to come out into the field with me and check my experiment sites.
I'm grateful to have had my roomie gone for the week on a sampling cruise and now she is back and I'm also grateful for that.
I'm grateful that I went into the candy isle today at the grocery store but I didn't buy any candy--instead I bought sugarless gum.
And it's Thursday! Yay!!
