In my vegan travels on the internet, I was recommended a book called "The China Study" by T. Colin Campbell, PhD. The author is a very prominent researcher and has done research for decades on the effects of plant-based diets vrs animal product diets....the bottom line is he strongly recommends a plant-based diet for weight loss, cancer prevention, eliminate diabetes, reverse heart disease, cataracts, arthritis ,,,,list goes on and on. He dispels myths about animal proteins and says to stay away from them, he's against cow's milk, it causes all kinds of problems, he says to stick with fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. His research findings are all in the book and after reading them, I'm going strictly vegan. He also is vegan.
