Noni juice, which is derived from the noni fruit, has become labeled as a food supplement rather than an actual fruit juice. Therefore, this product does not have accurate nutritional measurements available, unless bought from individual brands in stores or online food supplement shops.
The Noni Debate
Several groups, mostly food scientists and individual advocates of the noni product, have continued to debate the benefits and side effects caused by consuming the fruit juice drink. No conclusive evidence has shown that neither major side effects nor health benefits occur from the consumption of the food supplement.
Also, since noni juice and other noni products get sold as a food supplements, the products do not require approval from the Food and Drug Administration. This process leaves several questions unanswered and unclear to consumers.

Most producers of noni juice and noni-derived products claim that the fruit provides numerous health benefits, including a reduction of possible heart disease, high-blood pressure and cancer, plus a boost for the immune system and metabolic functions.
However, since the juice does not contain high levels of essential vitamins and minerals, it remains unclear as to what nutrients actually provide such benefits. Another main issue with the nutritional content of noni juice involves its highly processed make up. The actual noni fruit produces a highly bitter taste, nearly too strong for the individual to consume raw.
Since the fruit must be highly sweetened and processed to create a desirable taste, the chances of the fruit juice providing valuable and pure nutrients greatly decreases, providing yet another reason why noni products do not act as the most viable source for a healthy fruit juice.
