If you are tired of eating the same kind of sandwich every day, you may just need to give it a little more flavor. There are many different ways to improve the taste of a regular cold cut sandwich. Eat a different type of sandwich each day, which will help to make your lunch hour more enjoyable.
1. Tomatoes
Putting a slice of tomato on your sandwich is a quick and easy way to add more flavor. If you are having a cold cut sandwich, you can put multiple slices of tomato between the different meat layers. If you are making a sandwich to eat later on in the day, be sure to use a plastic container instead of a plastic bag, since the tomato may become runny as the day wears on.
2. Onions
Onions are a popular choice to use with cold cut sandwiches. After you peel the onion, you may want to slice it into small strips instead of dicing it, to help prevent the pieces from falling out of the sandwich. Since onions can be pungent, store the sandwich in a plastic container if you are going to eat it for lunch at your workplace.
3. Cucumbers
If you like cucumbers, you can either add a few slices to your cold cut sandwich, or just have a sandwich made up of only cucumbers. Vary the size of the cucumber slices, so each bite of your cold cut sandwich will taste a bit different. You can also add some pepper if the sandwich is still a bit too bland.
