Nicki Minaj's hourglass figure may be almost as famous as her over-the-top persona and hit songs. And though you may not be gifted with her vocal abilities or wish to emulate her unique style, you may be going after her physique. Some women simply don't have the right build to perfectly attain it, but with a few tricks you can get closer to the hourglass.
It Starts Up Top
A larger bust is necessary to get the hourglass. And though there are plenty of unnatural ways to increase breast size, we would never recommend cosmetic solutions or voodoo creams. Instead, there are ways to make your breasts look bigger by building up the chest muscles through a few simple exercises:
Push-Ups: Push-ups are the simplest exercise to build your chest muscles, and incline push-ups will be best to grow your chest. Don't lower yourself too close to the floor, but only dip until your elbows are straight.
Dumbbell Flys: Lay on your back, and hold two dumbbells in your hand. Open your arms, keep your elbows bent at a 90 degree angle, and lower them until they are almost touching the floor before pushing them back up.
With these exercises, you'll firm up your upper chest muscles, which will give your breasts the appearance of being bigger...especially in a good push-up bra.
Next Comes the Waist
Getting a trim, very slim waist is the secret behind the hourglass figure. While the breasts and butt give Miss Minaj her shapely form, it wouldn't be as noticeable without the size of her waist.
A healthy diet is the key to trimming down your waist. By cutting your caloric intake (individual levels will depend on your personalized healthy weight loss plan) and burning additional calories through exercise, you'll start to notice your belly shrinking. With a few abdominal exercises thrown into the mix, you'll tone up those muscles. Getting a small stomach is hard work, but it's the key to the hourglass.
Finally, the Butt
It shouldn't come as a surprise that growing your rear end can actually be easy. But getting it to look as toned and firm as Miss Minaj's is a bit harder and will require a whole lot of leg exercise. Lunges and squats will help work the back of your legs nicely. You should pair this with running, especially sprinting. Sprinting will give you the leg and butt muscles that help get you the famous form, while jogging will just burn fat and give you lean legs.
It's a lot of work to get the look, but with the right balance of diet and exercise you'll be singing "Starships" in no time.
