Push Up Variations

If you are comfortable with the one legged beach push up then you might also be ready for one arm beach push ups. The one arm push up will also require that you lie on your chest with your face towards the sand, but your legs should be spread apart slightly farther than the usual shoulder width. Place one arm behind your back and push your body up from the sand with the other hand. You will then lower your body down to the sand and repeat this process as needed.
It is important that you stay well hydrated while performing beach push ups so that you're able to maximize the number of repetitions. If you're new to working out through the use of beach push ups, don't try to do the advanced versions. Pacing yourself while working out in this manner is very important and can reduce muscle injuries.
