What saves a man is to take a step. Then another step." ~C.S. Lewis
It.s no secret that I love a good challenge! After receiving a bachelor.s degree in environmental science and a master.s degree in public health I decided that nutrition was my real passion. I returned to school to become a dietitian. In the meantime, I worked as a Lifestyle Coach for Mayo Clinic and learned that coaching, as opposed to just telling people what to do, was my thing. I love empowering individuals to take control of their own health and take the lead in creating and achieving their healthy lifestyle goals. I love to be active and have completed both a triathlon and duathlon. I could talk endlessly with you about urban farming, cooking, Ghost Hunters, wild bird feeding, and the best extreme home workouts. My life is made awesome by memorable meals, new recipes, good books, clever quotes, outdoor sports, and my family of a husband, a cat, a Boston terrier, and 4 chickens. My motto has always been .good nutrition = better health = best life. and I am excited to assist you in making nutrition the foundation of your new, healthy life!

Every day do something that will inch you closer to a better tomorrow."
I found my passion for nutrition while living abroad over 10 years ago. During my first year, I had gained 30 lbs (and a few parasites). I began to read more about food and how it affected the body. With a little bit of research and dedication, I was able to heal my body, lose the weight, and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Once I achieved my goals, I realized I had never felt better and knew I wanted to help others achieve their health goals. I have a Bachelors of Arts in Journalism from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Foods from Texas State University.
