Message your FitDay Dietitian on your schedule. No need to schedule appointments or follow-up visits. You can access your FitDay Dietitian at anytime from anywhere you can access your FitDay website account. There is no limit to how often you can contact your dietitian!
Creating SMART goals
You and your FitDay Dietitian will create one or two SMART goals every two weeks. This gives you time to focus on changing your new behavior into a permanent healthy habit.
Your FitDay Dietitian is not here to give you a list of foods that you can never eat again. We are here to help you learn how to make healthy choices on a regular basis.
YOU are a big part of the goal-setting process, so you know that your goals are just what you need.

Get Started Right Away
Before you start messaging with your FitDay Dietitian they will complete an initial assessment so they can get to know who you are, what your current eating habits look like, and what your goals are. That way from the very first message you can get started working on your goals.
Continue to log your foods, your activities and your weight in the same FitDay account that you already use on a regular basis. Your FitDay Dietitian will have access to your logs and will be able to provide tailored recommendations based on what you report.
Your FitDay Dietitian can also give you tips and advice on how to get the most out of your FitDay account.
Live Private Message Board
You and your Fitday Dietitian will share a private message board. When he or she responds, you’ll see it in real time! This is a quick and easy way for you to communicate with your FitDay Dietitian.
You’ll receive an email notification every time your FitDay Dietitian posts on your message board. This will help you stay on top of your messages and know when to write back.
Healthy weight loss takes time, so we don’t want to limit your communication with your FitDay Dietitian. You have an entire month, 3 months, or 6 months to work with your professional.
Your FitDay Dietitian will help you create Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound goals.

Goals like “I want to lose weight” are too broad. Our FitDay Dietitians will help you create SMART goals to break it down into Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound goals. Studies have shown people who set SMART goals are more likely to have success and maintain their goals in the long run. For some people, making big life changes at once can work, but for most it’s about incorporating smaller steps into their lives that add up to long-term success.
Your FitDay Dietitian will help guide you through selecting SMART goals and make sure you’re on the right path for success!
After two weeks you and your FitDay Dietitian will assess your progress, and once you’re ready they will help you get started on a new SMART goal!

In order for a new behavior to become a habit it has to be performed frequently and extensively. Research suggests that working with a professional frequently over time is a more successful method of weight loss and maintenance.
As you turn your new habits into lifelong behavior, you will continue to be set new SMART goals every two weeks. Your FitDay Dietitian will help you manage the introduction of new goals while helping you maintain your ongoing changes to ensure you stay on track to achieve your ultimate weight loss goals.
